Spanish Video #1
I did my first Spanish video on 1/20/16. We went over the very basics: Hello, how are you, what is your name, and things along those lines. Luckily, I had practiced, but I was still very nervous. My partner froze up once, so I had to save it. Other than that, it was relativity smooth for a first video.
Spanish Video #2
I did this Spanish video on 2/2/16. I was a lot more relaxed for this video because someone told me that I shouldn't worry to much about it.
Reflection
- I had really high expectations for Spanish this semester because I had heard great things about the teacher from my sister and other students who had her. I've only heard positive things, and so far, she hasn't disappointed.
- On a scale of 1-10, my enthusiasm for the semester would be a 9. I say this because I enjoy the class fully, but I'm nervous about the amount of work I'll have to do.
- My sister has really been building up verb conjugation, so I can't help but feel excited for that!
- The biggest improvement from the first video to the second would have to bee the knowledge. I knew only a few basic things before, but now I know a lot more basic things!
- My area of growth would have to be writing these reflections well and on time.
- I have a feeling that I'll be able to pick up Spanish this semester! I've been able to study on Quizlet and work with my sister, so I am more than confident.
Spanish Video #3
This spanish video was done on 2/23/16. Rather than doing a question/answer format, this time we were asked to give the conversation a theme. Some people chose things like music or movies, but my partner and I decided to take a different route. We went with a cheesy pick up line scenario! I may or may not regret this later in life!
Reflection
- I decided to work with this partner because we have worked together successfully in the past.
- I probably didn't practice as much as I should have, but my strategy was to go on Duolingo every day and repeat the script to myself over and over.
- I am at a 6/10 right now with conversation. There's so much I've learned, yet so much I haven't.
- I feel pretty strong with verb conjugations. When I learn how to conjugate verbs in other tenses, I feel like I'll pick it up quickly.
- I plan to practice more and harder for my midterm. I'm working with another partner that I know is reliable, so I feel good about it!
